Fun fact: Once woke up at 2:30am to summit a mountain in Costa Rica, only to be met with the rain storm of my life at the top!
Achievements: 2015 - Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph (Dean’s Honours List)
2019 - Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry (Dean’s Honours List), including earning the Ontario University Athletics Academic Achievement and All-star Award
Special interests: general family eye care for all ages, as well as ocular diseases (specifically dry eye, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma management)
Associations: certified by the College of Optometrists of Ontario to prescribe therapeutics pharmaceutical agents (TPAs); a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrist and Canadian Association of Optometrists and registered as an eye care provider with the Eye See... Eye Learn children's vision program, which provides free glasses to children in junior kindergarten
Outreach: In 2017, spent time in Haiti assisting Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), delivering donated eyewear and providing eye care world wide to those less fortunate. Additionally, has volunteered with the Lions Club educating kindergarten students on the importance of eye care at all ages.
